ABOUT THE COUPLE

Hey there! We are Cole and Danielle, a loving couple in Minnesota eager to grow our family through adoption. We have loved a good adventure ever since we met at a young age! We love all things Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Star Wars, or a great day watching a live sporting event! We look forward to sharing these with a child!

We met when we were 14, working at a local scout summer camp. Our friendship grew over about 7 years before we started dating, and after roughly 2 years together, Cole popped the question on Christmas 2017. Finding our person showed us how much we wanted to become loving parents.

In our free time, we enjoy many outdoor activities, including hikes, canoeing, grilling out, and camping. We also enjoy family nights in. Walking our pup Ellie to the local 1950s-themed ice cream shop is one of our favorite summer activities. We also enjoy trying out different places for painting or other crafting classes. We're often found at volunteer events and community groups. One highlight from our volunteering was taking a group of community kids from the scout troop on a few backpacking trips. They were memorable, fun trips. As a family, we love traveling, too. A couple of times a month, we enjoy trying different local restaurants for family/date night and going to our friends' house for game nights.

ABOUT Cole

I would describe myself as a calm, steady person. I do my best to be consistent and reliable. I am loving toward my friends and family. I love to joke around and make others smile.

Cole in the Eyes of Danielle: Cole is a fun, loving guy who cracks a good joke. He has a calm demeanor and always cares for other people. Cole does anything he can to make sure others are having a good time. He often takes on tasks to make others' day-to-day lives more manageable. The top 5 things I love about Cole are his sense of humor, how much he loves family and friends, his relaxed demeanor, his personal drive when something is important to him, and his facial expression when he sees something cute.

When I asked my friend Wayne to describe me for our profile, he described me as kind, patient, and genuinely considerate. Wayne said I'm especially attentive to children's needs and thoughtful in how I support and guide them. I'm very laid-back and calm, but I'm also consistent and firm when it comes to boundaries. Overall, Wayne said I'm dependable, compassionate, and someone who creates a safe and supportive environment for kids to thrive.

EXTENDED FAMILY

I have one brother, Lucas. My mom homeschooled us both, which helped us become close friends. My dad Chris, mom Sandy, brother Lucas, and sister-in-law Natalie live nearby. We see them regularly for family meals, birthday get-togethers, and other outings for time to catch up. We see my cousins, aunts, and uncles for holiday events. We also see some of them when helping each other with house projects and events throughout the year. Many of my cousins live near the Mississippi, which provides a great environment for outdoor adventures such as wild rice harvesting.

WORK & EDUCATION

When I was younger, my mom homeschooled my brother and me. After high school, I attended the local community college and earned a certificate in welding. When I graduated, I started my career as a welder in manufacturing. After about 2 years, I returned to school for an apprenticeship, where I graduated and became a journeyman welder. I have worked in the trades for about a decade now.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

I enjoy game nights with my friends and their families. I enjoy working on projects in the garage, especially welding projects. I also enjoy working with kids in our scout troop on camping skills. I enjoy reading good books, especially sci-fi novels during my downtime. I also enjoy being creative and writing short stories. I enjoy quiet nights at home with my family.

ABOUT Danielle

I am a very determined person. I enjoy reaching my goals in life and seeing what I can accomplish. I love showing those around me that they are cared for and supported in life.

Danielle in the Eyes of Cole: She cares a lot about the people in her life. She is always looking for ways to help them out. She is very driven and goal-oriented. But she is also open to others' opinions when pursuing something. Danielle is a delightful person to spend my life with cause our sense of humor is very similar. The top five things I love about Danielle are her sense of humor, her outlook on life, her cooking skills, her direct communication, and her love of contributing to the household.

I asked my friend Brianna to describe me. Brianna describes me as a very kind and generous person who never strays from my morals and never hesitates to lend a hand.

EXTENDED FAMILY

My parents, brother Jesse, and Isabel live nearby. We see them regularly for holidays, dinners, and household projects. My brother Jeff and his family live in Montana. It's a great place for mountain vacations! His whole family will make trips home every so often. His daughter Sawyer usually comes for 1-2 weeks every summer. Whenever they come to town, we usually make a family trip to the zoo! Since we were kids, zoo trips have been a common staple for us. My grandparents, uncles, and aunts all live nearby. We see them for holidays, community events, family get-togethers, and dinners. We have a large family of cousins and more distant relatives who get together for some holidays!

WORK & EDUCATION

I started school at a rural school near my parents' farm. I graduated from a small class and went on to study at our local community college. When I graduated, I earned a certificate and an associate's degree that let me start my career in healthcare. After working in healthcare for some time, I decided to return to school to earn my bachelor's and master's in Healthcare Administration. In 2024, I obtained my bachelor's. Currently, I have only 1 more class to finish my master's, which I will complete in December 2026! I am very excited to accomplish this goal!

Since graduating and during my second time in school, I have worked in various roles in healthcare administration and scheduling. I currently hold a leadership role in healthcare administration at our local healthcare clinic.

HOBBIES & INTERESTS

Growing up on a farm, I learned valuable skills and still enjoy helping my parents out there. I enjoy gardening in my free time, flowers and veggies. I also really appreciate my time with my friends at concerts or craft nights. My mom and I will usually go to at least one show a year. I also have a few close friends we regularly see for campfires, local events like the Renaissance, or simple dinners together. One of my closest friends has been by my side for 25 years. I also spend a lot of time walking by the river or on the prairie near our house. I love experimenting with cooking, trying out new recipes, and seeing what I can create is super fun. I commonly try different ingredients and recipes from different cultures. On cold winter nights, you can find me building a Lego set with Cole.

ABOUT OUR HOME

Our home is a rambler style home situated in a quiet neighborhood in a rural community. A variety of families of different ages and backgrounds live there. We are especially close with a few of the families. One of our neighbors is also involved in the scout troop, helps us with car maintenance, and has even joined us on a few scout trips. They are all kind and supportive, often helping with mowing lawns, snow removal, and other community needs.

We live in a relaxing home with several nearby parks where we like to take walks. We like being a place where others can relax in a loving, fun environment.

ABOUT OUR WORLD

Growing up and living in rural Minnesota, much of our world is made up of the people we love and share our days with. Here are some thoughts from our friends and family about us adopting. Hope it helps you get to know us a little more!

Carly, friend: Having known Danielle for over 20 years, excitement bubbles up as she and Cole step into the next chapter of their lives. I cannot wait to see their family grow and witness the love and joy that will undoubtedly fill each day.

Wayne, friend: I always look forward to them coming over for game nights! Our kids love it when they come around!

John, Danielle's Dad: I appreciate Cole and Danielle's ability to set goals and stick with them, even when things get difficult. I respect their desire and willingness to do their best to do the right thing, and I have seen them deal with many adverse situations calmly and with good judgment. I love them for these reasons and many more! Looking forward to the adoption!

Chris and Sandy, Cole's parents: Cole and Danielle are "old souls" with kind, tender hearts. We can't wait to see them love their children. We are excited and blessed that they are going to be parents!

Abby, friend: Cole and Danielle are great people and friends! They are going to be wonderful parents!

Brianna, friend: Cole and Danielle are both adventurous and love the outdoors. They are very kind-hearted and patient. They are never quick to judge and are always very understanding. I think they would give a child a wonderful home to grow up in.

Angie, Danielle's mom: Cole and Danielle are goal-oriented and follow through on their ambitions. They are very community-oriented with kids. Through adoption, it will be exciting to be a grandma again, watching Cole and Danielle raise a child with their very similar childhood backgrounds. It will be a joy to be part of it and witness it.

Jesse, Danielle's brother: I am very excited to see Cole and Danielle raise a child! One thing I am excited about is being the cool uncle who helps Danielle teach her child how to catch frogs around the farm as we did as kids! It will be a fun experience for the whole family!

Tori, friend: Cole and Danielle are such an amazing couple, and I am excited for them to start this next chapter in their life! I've known them since college, and they are such kind and caring people to be around. Between their fun personalities and dedication to children in the Boy Scouts, they will make great parents!

Natalie and Lucas, Cole's brother and sister-in-law: We're excited for the adoption. Cole and Danielle will be loving parents. They have rich imaginations, go on outdoor adventures, and create lots of homemade meals as a family.
